When power to the circuit is interrupted, the relay in this switch drops out. After power is restored, the relay has to be manually reset locally. Ideal for load-shedding of non-essential loads (lights, Air Conditioning units, heaters), especially where generators are used as it will allow generators to restart without in-rush loads.
